Print coloring pages straight from the app
iPhone, iPad and Android
DoodlePlot is built to send kids back to paper. Any picture in the app can be printed as a blank outline to color with real crayons, and anything they've made — a colored picture, a mandala, a photo outline — can be printed to hang up.
You'll need
- DoodlePlot on a phone or tablet
- A Wi-Fi printer on the same network (AirPrint on Apple devices)
Open a picture
Choose any picture and open it in Color — or open something already made from the gallery.
Tap Print
Tap the printer button at the top (in Color) or choose Print from the item's menu in the gallery. Your device's print sheet appears; pick the printer and the number of copies.
- For a blank coloring page, print from Color before filling anything in.
Print and hand it over
The page comes out as a clean black-and-white outline (or the finished artwork, in color). Add crayons and walk away.
Make a whole coloring book (optional)
Make My Book bundles several pictures — pack pictures and your child's own outlines — into one multi-page coloring book you can print in one go.
Printer not showing up?
Make sure the phone and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network. Most Wi-Fi printers sold in the last decade support AirPrint; on Android, the printer's own print service plug-in may need to be installed from the Play Store. As a workaround, share the picture to Photos and print it from any printer app.
Paper tips
- Plain copier paper is fine for crayons; use heavier card if kids are painting.
- Print at 100% (not "fit to page") to keep line thickness consistent.
- Print two copies — one to color, one to trace over with the phone.
